During my time studying French at Exeter University, I worked for one year as Personal Assistant to the Head of Media Relations for a multi-national telecoms company in Paris, France. This was my first experience of writing in a professional capacity and I was hooked.
After graduating, I worked in PR departments and press offices of national charities and other organisations based in London and Surrey, including Help the Aged (now Age UK), the Church of England and The National Trust.
Following the arrival of my two young sons, I now work as a freelance journalist, editor and copywriter from my office in Epsom, Surrey. I am a member of the Society of Authors and hold the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR)'s Diploma in Public Relations.
When not working, I love walking in the glorious Surrey countryside, treating myself to trips to the theatre and getting stuck into crafting with my family. I am also writing my first children's novel.
While I currently specialise in the shipping, charity, heritage and family sectors, I also number digital marketing, design and communication agencies, financial service providers and manufacturers amongst my clients. I relish a challenge and can undertake any topic, scale or style of writing. I am organised, dedicated and creative and understand the importance of meeting - and surpassing - expectations.
